FQMCFondation québécoise de la maladie coeliaque is a registered charity organization. Founded in 1983, its mission is to improve the lives of people who are affected by celiac disease or non celiac gluten sensitivity with information on the disease and the gluten-free diet. Its efforts are aimed at increasing the knowledge of celiac disease among the public and health professionals, in order to promote early detection. FQMC encourages and supports research. Through the organizations’ activities Fondation québécoise de la maladie coeliaque helps improve the quality of life for those people affected by gluten. The FQMC is a respected voice in Canada for providing its services, entirely in French.

Fondation québécoise de la maladie cœliaque est un organisme de charité enregistré. Fondée en 1983, sa mission est de faire en sorte d’améliorer la vie des personnes qui souffrent de la maladie cœliaque ou de la sensibilité au gluten non coeliaque par de l’information sur la maladie et le régime sans gluten. Ses efforts de sensibilisation visent à accroître la notoriété de cette entéropathie au gluten auprès de la population et des professionnels de la santé de façon à en favoriser le dépistage précoce. Elle favorise et appuie la recherche. Par ses activités, la FQMC contribue à améliorer la qualité de vie des personnes qui doivent éliminer le gluten de leur alimentation. La FQMC est un intervenant important au Canada fournissant ses services entièrement en français.

Gluten Free Garage

Gluten Free GarageThe Gluten Free Garage is a pop-up marketplace of all things deliciously gluten free—like a farmers’ market with a gluten free twist! At our inaugural event on November 11, 2012, 1,500 hungry patrons flocked to the Gluten Free Garage, where they sampled and purchased gluten-free food and lifestyle products from about 50 (mostly local) vendors. Attendees and exhibitors alike felt the tummy love!

Gluten Free Watchdog

Gluten Free Watch DogGluten Free Watchdog, LLC was founded by Tricia Thompson, MS, RD to make state-of-the-art gluten-free food testing data available directly to you, the consumer.  It is our hope that independently testing labeled gluten-free products, and making the results publicly available will allow you to feel more confident in the products you buy.


INAFINAF has put together the largest team of Canadian researchers dedicated to understanding the complex relationships between foods, food components, nutrition and health, and the role they play in prevention of chronic diseases. INAF puts science at the service of nutrition to fulfill its mission and ensure its actions lead to concrete and durable results that benefit the population’s health and the bio-food sector.

Founded by Université Laval’s food and agriculture faculty (FSAA) in the early 2000s, INAF is a research institute that maintains close ties with the medical and pharmacy faculties.

FPHRC monitors the industry’s HR developments and needs, and is a leader in delivering HR information and training tools to support a safe and secure food supply and a viable and competitive food processing sector.

The Ontario Food Protection Association

OFPAThe Ontario Food Protection Association provides a common forum for those associated with food safety in the food industry and enables those interested in food safety to exchange ideas, experiences and information. It sponsors and organizes meetings to inform members of new and improved methods in the safe hygienic production, transportation and processing and sale of food products.

SQFThe Safe Quality Food (SQF) program, a division of the Food Marketing Institute (FMI), is recognized by retailers and foodservice providers around the world as a rigorous, credible food safety management system. It is the only major system recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) that offers third-party accredited certification for primary production, food manufacturing, distribution and agent/broker management.
